August 16th, 2017: Day 30

Today was the final full work day!!!!! During the morning meeting we talked about the program and how it could be made better. After that, Paige and I watched Peter and Ashley's presentations and gave them some feedback. We looked at Roger's data for the rest of the morning until lunch time. We watched Aditi and Titus' presentations during the afternoon.

August 15th, 2017: Day 29

There was no morning meeting today, instead we went through everyone's presentations up until lunch time. Mine and Paige's presentation was exactly 15 minutes and I think we did a nice job. I feel pretty good about it. I spent most of the afternoon looking at more C73 files Roger gave us. Nothing too exciting happened later in the day, just a standard time with my favorite partner. I do have a few results from the C73 images but they're the same for every file. PCA isn't doing much for me these days, SAM and ICA have been my best results. SAM Overlay with Int. Stretching ICA Result of Band 3

August 14th, 2017: Day 28

The morning meeting was pretty relaxed, people turned in their presentations. Paige and I are still making some last minute changes to ours. The morning was spent editing the presentation and then we gave another practice one in the auditorium. It was 17 and a half minutes this time so we added enough information in. We added things in during lunch. We found Roger so I could get his hard drive and finish downloading more C73 files to work on for the next two days. I think we've done a really good job with our presentation. I'm proud of the results. We finished it around 2 and gave it to Joe. The rest of the day we spent making image cubes for Roger and putting together results for Todd Hanneken. Tomorrow we have the run-throughs of our presentations in the morning. I'm really excited to stutter in front of everyone!!!! I'll post about it tomorrow.

August 11th, 2017: Day 27

Today was the fastest morning meeting ever. Matt handed out papers and then we all got to work. I worked on Roger's data for the morning. Yesterday Paige and I put together another folder of results for him so today was just finishing the final three files. I finished the files during lunch so Paige and I got more things from Roger. We did another practice presentation with Matt and Joe. We got some good notes and critiques. The presentation is just going to keep being updated, likely up until Wednesday night. Today's run through was even shorter than last time so we added a few more slides, including an acknowledgement slide. I included Roger, Dave, Robert/Bob, and Todd Hanneken. We're probably going to add more people to it but that list is a good start. I helped David Lewis with some stuff, mainly finding things in a lab. It was better than nothing. Monday I'm going to help him set up his experiment, I'm pretty thrilled.

August 10th, 2017: Day 26

During the morning meeting we discussed the final presentations and what some people did yesterday. After the meeting we talked to Dave about a few things we wanted to add. I think Paige and I are just about done with the presentation but I'm not 100% sure about that. Personally, I think it's a pretty good presentation. We got an email from Robert/Bob complimenting us on our blogs, I'm pretty thrilled to know that he took the time to see what we're up to. In his email he also mentioned a few things about different maps at the Bodleian. I'm not sure what they are but he attached them to the email so I might as well take a look at them. I spent the better part of my day working with Roger's data. It's not going into the presentation but the results are still kind of neat. I keep forgetting to save them as JPEGs but today was the day that I actually did.

August 9th, 2017: Day 25

Today was Joe's first day back since last Monday. The morning meeting was pretty standard, everyone talked about how their project/presentation is coming along. After that Paige and I made some critiques to our presentation. Our current dilemma is that we want to use an overlay image of the three main types of green while Dave wants us to use an inverse color images of the entire map, still using green.  We tried to set up our presentation in the auditorium but it didn't work the first time we tried. We spent the better half of the morning working on new data Dave had given us a few days before. I'm not 100% sure about what any of it is but it's kind of cool. We did a run through of our presentation before lunch and we were under 11 minutes so that's good and also kind of bad. We just need to explain things more. At about 1 Paige and I had a video call with Robert/Bob, the guy who gave us all the questions for the Selden Map. It was really Dave and Di talking and us

August 8th, 2017: Day 24

David Lewis really sparked up the morning meeting today. He brought in his projects from when he was an intern in 2014. Matt and David Lewis gave me and Paige notes for our presentation after we ran through it for them. Anjana was in the room too but I don't think she had too much to say. Dave and Roger came in during the morning so we could give another practice presentation to them.We decided to just run through it instead. The rest of the day was spent adding explanations to images and deciding who says what. Paige is remaking her massive map she stitched together from the VNIR images but this time it's going to be inverse colors. I think after that's done then our final days will be spent practicing the presentation.
